After purchasing a gas boiler, users also face the problems of transportation and installation. Ensuring the proper installation and operation of the boiler is a key concern for many users. Based on years of boiler installation experience, Zhongjie Special Installation has summarized the following precautions, hoping to help more users understand the correct operation methods when installing a gas boiler.
1. The gas boiler must not be installed in a bedroom or room directly connected to a bedroom, nor should it be installed in an air-tight basement.
2. To ensure safety and stability, users need to choose a professional installation company with gas boiler installation qualifications for installation.
3. The gas boiler power supply (220V) needs to be connected to a reliable grounding wire to ensure safety.
4. The connection between the gas pipe and the gas burner requires a gas-specific pipe.
5. After the gas pipe is installed, open the gas valve and use soapy water to check the connections for leaks. If there is a leak, close the valve, repair or replace the seals, and then check the gas boiler until there is no leakage.
6. Boiler installation must be level or reasonably planned, aiming for short, few, and thick pipes—that is, minimizing pipe length, reducing bends, and using thicker pipes. In addition, the return pipe diameter should be the same as the gas boiler outlet and return inlet diameter.
7. The slope of the natural circulation water main pipe and return pipe is 3-5%. The vent pipe should be placed at the system's highest point and must not have valves installed.
8. The drain valve is installed at the lowest point of the system, and the bottom of the water tank should be higher than the water supply pipe. The automatic air vent valve must not be replaced with a vent, and the valve must not be installed or blocked.
9. When installing the flue pipe, it must extend outdoors, and the slope should be inclined downward at 5° to prevent condensation from causing boiler corrosion. Combustible materials cannot be placed around the flue pipe.
